High School, College and Seminary

Proverbs 2:6 – For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Immanuel Lutheran provides:

  • High School – grades 9-12
  • College degrees – A.A., B.A., and B.S.
  • Seminary

Immanuel exists for the express purpose of sharing the good news that the Son of God has come in the flesh and offered Himself as the perfect and complete sacrifice for the sins of every man, woman, and child…past, present, and future.

We carry out this purpose by giving young men and women a Christ-centered, Bible-based education. Upon completing their education at Immanuel, these young Christians go out into the world and share what they have learned. If you wish to learn more about Immanuel, visit www.ilc.edu

Messiah Lutheran has traditionally had a very active Volunteer Program. We feel it is healthy for a school to have parent and congregational support and participation. Recently, the principal has appointed a volunteer coordinator to help with the organization of this program. The principal and the school’s administration assistant also have active roles in this program. Near the beginning of the school year a Volunteer Program form is sent to all school and congregational families. This form identifies opportunities for volunteer participation that would be beneficial to the school and requests that individuals sign up for areas they are interested in. They are then contacted as events take place or needs arise.

Correcting objective school work, supervising lunchtime, assisting with field trips, preparing bulletin boards, helping with school parties, and helping with special events like Entertainment Night or the school picnic, would be examples of some of the volunteer opportunities at Messiah.

Direct classroom student instruction or tutoring by any volunteer must be preapproved by the principal and Board of Education. This type of activity would likely be part of a different program entitled the Classroom Aide Program.

For some time now, Messiah Lutheran has recognized the need to add new classroom space for our school. One way that we can make valuable contributions toward this goal is to participate in the new “Messiah School Builders Program,” by making everyday purchases with “scrip” gift cards through the shopwithscrip.com website. The families from our church and school can buy gift cards for various businesses such as Amazon.com, Kwik Trip, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Menard’s, Kohl’s, Walgreens, and many other outlets. The gift cards are worth face value, and the business rebates a percentage of the sale to the non-profit sponsor (us), in amounts ranging typically from 3-10%. Cards can be purchased and recharged online.

Those who prefer using a paper order form and a check may do so. Click here for the “Getting Started” guide to learn more, and to join in helping to build our school!

This program is directed by Messiah’s Finance and Publicity Committee. If you have questions, it is being coordinated by Jennifer Roehl (roehl.jennifer@gmail.com or 715-797-5897).
